In addition, the physical hardcopy of the application with all documents must reach the Registrar, HNGU, Patan by 20 June 2026 (6:00 PM) via Speed Post or in person. Both submissions are mandatory — online application alone is not sufficient.

For Arts, Science, Commerce and Management faculty posts, NET/SLET/SET is the minimum eligibility. However, candidates holding a Ph.D. awarded as per UGC Minimum Standards Regulations 2009 or 2016 are exempt from NET/SLET/SET. For the Architecture post (Institute of Architecture), NET/SLET/SET is not required — the criteria are B.Arch. marks and relevant professional experience.

Q5. Is Gujarati knowledge mandatory for HNGU Recruitment 2026?

The fee is ₹500 for Unreserved/General candidates and ₹250 for ST/SC/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates. Payment must be made through online mode only. The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Selection is in three stages: first, candidates are shortlisted based on Academic Score as per UGC Regulation 2018, Appendix II, Table 3A (1:15 ratio); second, the University may conduct a Screening Test where necessary (syllabus published on ngu.ac.in); and third, shortlisted candidates appear for a Personal Interview. Final selection is based solely on interview performance — Academic Score is only for shortlisting.

The physical application must include 3 sets of the printed online application form, 3 copies of Academic Score in Appendix II Table 3A format, self-attested certificates of age, educational qualifications (graduation onwards with marksheets), caste/category, physical disability, experience, NOC (if in Govt. service), payment receipt, government-issued photo ID, and proof of research papers published in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals. All documents must be arranged in the order of claims made in the Academic Score proforma.

Q9. Can a Govt. or PSU employee apply for HNGU Recruitment 2026?

Yes, but candidates currently employed in Government, Semi-Government, or Public Sector Undertakings must apply through proper channel and submit a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) along with the physical application. Applications submitted without NOC will not be considered for such candidates.

Q10. What are the special conditions for the Life Science (Microbiology) post in HNGU 2026?

The Microbiology Assistant Professor post (1 vacancy, ST-Female category) is marked with #, meaning it is vacant because the current employee is on lien. Candidates should carefully note this condition before applying for this specific post.
